A Project Management Programme within the field of culture
Do you want to spend two years learning about how to realise ideas, implement projects and change reality? Kulturverkstan is an education for project makers within the cultural sphere. It reaches out to artists, musicians, actors, writers and filmmakers. However, also scholars, scientists, journalists, editors and other people with an interest to work within the culture field are welcome.
At Kulturverkstan you will gain knowledge about all the practical matters concerning successfully implementing projects. You will study project managing, economy, communication, organisational theory and information techniques, with an emphasis on work within the field of culture. Attention is also paid to larger issues such as the future of democracy, the consequences of globalisation and the transformation of work. The education has an international aim with studytrips to cultural projects within and outside Europe.
At Kulturverkstan theory and practice is interwoven. A large part of the time is spent doing practical work training in real projects. Kulturverkstan is a project management program, for real.
Kulturverkstan is an Advanced Vocational Education and started 1999. Kulturverkstan is operated by Nätverkstan, an actor in the west Swedish cultural life and is owned by 30 cultural journals from the region.
